Our contribution: stronger relationships between communities, earlier identification of conflict risks, more inclusive peace processes, and durable, locally led mechanisms for dialogue, early response, reconciliation, and coexistence.
Peacebuilding, Conflict Prevention & Social Cohesion
What we do
Strengthen Inter-Boundary Peace Committees (IBPCs) through regular meetings, joint dialogue, coordination, and collaborative conflict-prevention initiatives across administrative boundaries.
Convene Community Conversation Groups (CCGs) quarterly, safe, and inclusive spaces for dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding.
Build community-based early warning and early response capacity to identify, report, and act on emerging conflict risks before they escalate.
Introduce standardized early-warning reporting tools in Afaan Oromo and Somali to make conflict-risk reporting timely and accessible.
Facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue among communities, authorities, traditional leaders, women, and youth to address the sources of tension.
Our contribution
stronger relationships between communities, earlier identification of conflict risks, more inclusive peace processes, and durable, locally led mechanisms for dialogue, early response, reconciliation, and coexistence.
